A day in the life
What does a typical shift actually look like? Here's an honest picture.
Morning visits begin
You start the day helping clients with their morning routine: a wash, getting dressed, breakfast. Your first client has become a familiar face, and they always have a story to share.
Medication and companionship
A medication prompt visit, then a longer call for company. You chat over a cup of tea, check how they're feeling, and note anything to pass on to the care team.
Lunch preparation
Cook a proper meal, make sure they're eating and drinking well. Small things like this make a genuine difference to health and happiness.
End of shift check-in
Update your care notes digitally, check in with your supervisor if needed. Head home knowing today genuinely mattered to the people you visited.
